Real Estate Law
Real estate is a practice area that, for Segal Santillo, has evolved and grown with the needs of our clients. We assist our clients to identify opportunities in both real estate booms and recessions. Our lawyers are capable of providing prompt advice and implementing creative solutions, having gained perspective from sitting on both sides of the table, representing:
- vendors and purchasers, working closely with clients and fiscal specialists to plan and document the acquisition or disposition of an individual property or a portfolio in a tax-efficient manner, including preparing, negotiating and reviewing offers, deeds and their ancillary documents;
- landlords and tenants in a full range of commercial leasing transactions, including preparing, negotiating and reviewing office, land, industrial and retail leases, as well as advising clients in leasing disputes; and
- developers and contractors on all facets of projects, including structuring development deals, preparing or reviewing construction contracts, advising clients with respect to zoning and other regulatory restrictions, as well as enforcing clients’ rights on a timely basis in the event of a dispute.
